About this event
Babcock Prime Early Years Team are pleased to offer this unmissable opportunity to hear from renowned Early Years consultant and writer Helen Moylett.

Helen has been head-teacher of an early years centre as well as working in schools and as a university lecturer. She was a Birth to Three Matters national trainer and from 2004-2011 she worked for the National Strategies and was centrally involved in developing the Early Years Foundation Stage. She is Vice President of Early Education and tutors on the M.A. and PGCE courses at the Centre for Research in Early Childhood in Birmingham.

In her keynote, “It’s amazing how I think! - Supporting positive mindsets, self-regulation and resilience in the early years”, Helen will explore how our habits of mind are formed as our brains and bodies develop and we come to understand ourselves as learners. She will examine how the role of skilled adults in this process is crucial, providing language rich environments for promoting choice and child initiated learning. The masterclass will reflect upon how you, as early years practitioners, can best support children’s resilience and self-regulation helping them to be ‘can-do’ people who love learning.
