About this event
This training is ideal for Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers, Senior Leadership, Administrators and Business Managers who have a limited or no knowledge of Safer Recruitment within Education.

The intended training will help delegates / schools fulfil their responsibility to have in place safe recruitment and selection practice within the wider context of safeguarding children and to make safeguarding children central to all we do.

Experience over the years shows the importance of organisations that provide services to children incorporating measures that help deter, reject, or identify people who might abuse children. Promoting the welfare of children is an integral part of HR management in organisations that work with children and is essential to creating safe environments.

This course will provide: awareness and understanding of offender behaviour; the key features of staff recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people; support to consider or review, your own organisations, policies and practises to minimise opportunities for abuse and ensure an ongoing culture of vigilance. It includes all the recent updates in legislation from 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', 2018

Cost: £80 plus VAT including lunch and handouts.

Please ensure any dietary / visual or auditory requirements are noted at the point of booking.

About this event
Ofsted’s new ‘deep dive’ will involve gathering evidence on the curriculum intent, implementation and impact of Early Years. This is done in collaboration with leaders, teachers and the children themselves. “The intent of the deep dive is to seek to interrogate and establish a coherent evidence base on quality of education. “

Early Years is a fantastic place to be however there is also a lot to think about and co-ordinate in order for it to be effective and meaningful and understood by all colleagues across the school.

This day course will unpick how you can prepare for a deep dive and/or take the opportunity to stand back and review your current practices, being able to communicate this to colleagues across the school so that they know where and how the children start their journey as well as what your evidence base looks like.
